PCRG develops study-specific web portals for many studies. The public area of this website includes most of the information in the Pre-study Information Folder and is designed to support patient deliberation at home. Patients often discuss the study with family and friends after speaking with the doctor. The website provides contextual information that family and friends need to fully consider the study. Web pages include helpful information about how clinical research works, in addition to both a listing of clinical sites and links to other helpful information.
A password-protected section of the portal provides a central repository of study documents, forms, instructions and resources. Study management can post critical information for all sites to use, or restrict certain information to selected recipients. The web portal becomes a virtual file room for study personnel where they can download:

Sites can be alerted by e-mail regarding updates to critical materials and directed to access the web portal through an embedded link. The website can also optionally track when sites access specific information and can provide documentation of site activity.
An additional option is the ability to provide a central communication point for approved parties to submit and view meta-data about the studies. Investigators can view authorized investigator benchmarking reports and analyses. Access to these reports provides a connection with the study that can increase an investigator’s commitment to the study as data become available. Such reports might include the ability to benchmark an investigator's own patients against the aggregate on key data elements. For efficiency and consistency of reporting, these benchmark reports are run against static SAS datasets.
