Ophthalmology

PharmaNet Ophthalmology comprises ophthalmic-experienced clinicians, clinical research associates, project managers, data management professionals, and biostatisticians who work together in dedicated project teams. The team has the depth and breadth of experience to conduct studies on any scale from regional to large, global programs. Ophthalmology team professionals are well versed in the requirements of ophthalmic product development programs and provide current knowledge of competitive compounds, therapeutic practices, protocols, and case report forms.

 

 

PharmaNet Ophthalmology team members provide expertise in all key areas involved in designing and conducting highly effective studies, including the objective evaluation of examinations and procedures to assess signs and symptoms that are essential to ophthalmology studies. Their expertise in evaluation includes visual acuity, intraocular pressure, automated perimetry, biomicroscopy, ophthalmoscopy, and other eyecare tests. In addition, the team offers expertise in managing independent vendors that:

 

Provide certification of study-staff members, such as certifying visual-acuity examiners
Act as Reading Centers that certify fundus photographers, fluorescein angiographers and optical coherence tomography (OCT) technicians, as well as evaluating data submitted by study staff.
